  1. Audio settings won't change.

I just received my Astro A50s and need to finish setting them up by turning off HDMI audio which I was able to do but now I need to change the optical audio to bitstream out. Whenever I choose this option it starts loading but never gets anywhere. I've been
waiting at least an hour for it to change the setting and I don't know what to do anymore. Any ideas?

    :)

Xbox One no surround sound on my home theater

First, try going to Settings > Display and Sound > In the middle, change the "HDMI Audio" setting to '5.1 uncompressed'.

If you still can't get 5.1 audio to your sound system, try buying an optical audio cable and plug that from the back of your xbox one into your sound system and change the settings on your sound system to use the 'Optical In' or a setting that chooses that
input. Don't forget to change the settings like the one above, but under "Optical Audio" choose "Bitstream Out" and change "Bitstream Format" to "DTS Digital Surround." The optical audio port is right between the HDMI in and out ports.

How to change your Xbox 360 console audio setting

The Xbox 360 console automatically determines default audio settings for the combination of TV and cables used. But you can also change the audio settings on your console if you’re using one of the following cables:

    • Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable
    • Xbox 360 HDMI Cable
    • Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable
    • Xbox 360 S-Video/AV Cable
    • SCART adapter (United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand only)

How to change the audio settings

    • First, you need to press Guide button on your controller to go to Settings.
    • Then, proceed to System Settings.
    • Press Console Settings to select Audio.
    • Press Digital Output and select the appropriate output.

Note: Not all options are available for all cables.

    Headset sound not working.

    Hi GNXN,

It could be possible, but would you mind explaining what audio output settings you change and what did you change it to? Maybe the audio settings you change is optimizing audio output to your TV only.

Also check the Display and Sound settings and then go to audio output. Look over those settings and make sure it's default at stereo uncompressed.

maybe some Settings for Audio, Party Chat and or Changed the Output to HDMi or something else. Check the Audio Settings on Xbox and the Party+ Output Settings. i also had such an issue and it was the HDMI Audio Setting for me.
