  1. Audio Setting Question

When I choose the audio setting for my gaming head (Astro A50's) optical audio, bitstream out, dolby digital everything is great when using the Astros. When I decide I'd like to watch a Netflix movie less the Astros my HDMI audio doesn't play through the
surround system until I change the setting back to what they were prior to setup for the Astros.

Question is will I always switch back and forth when I want to play a game and use my Astros? Just curious since this was never an issue when I had the Tritton Warheads on my Xbox 360... it just worked.

    Thanks

    :)

    Audio Settings Question

Hi folks! Quick question - is the "Headphones" setting simply stereo audio? In other words, to get Surround does it need to be set to home theater? I ask because I have Tritton AX720+ headphones which work great, but the sound was... well, sounding (where's
my thesaurus) a bit hollow on the Home Theater setting. So, I switched to Headphone in settings, which didn't make a big difference in my party's voices, but the ambient noise (like whispers or talking from nearby NPCs) was clearer. The only thing is, I can't
quite tell if my audio is directional or not. I would think my headphones would be matrixing a stereo signal to simulate surround, but obviously the ideal would be a Dolby signal instead of stereo.

Thanks in advance for any input!
