Audio Powering Off and ON not working

Hi, I have a Bose Cinemate 1 SR Sound bar. I got it working with my Xbox One. (Well sort of anyway). I can have the xbox adjust the volume, and mute with no issues. The thing is, it wont power on or off my sound bar. Everything else works fine. Under the
TV/Audio settings in Xbox I have selected to power off and on when I turn xbox off and on. Any Ideas why power on and off wont work with my speaker array and Xbox One but volume and mute will work just fine?

Kinect - Audio Receiver Not Powering On / Off

Ever since the latest update, my kinect refuses to power on or off my audio receiver. i can still control the volume it just will not power the device on or off. ive tried everything i can think of, even reset everything in the settings and put the kinect
right in front of the device to see if it would work with no luck.

has anybody else had an issue like this? nothing major just annoying after all this time not having to use 2 remotes

In my experience the Xbox One Kinect is often not able to turn sound bars on and off.

There is an issue with the remote codes for sounds bars on many universal remote controls not just the Xbox one. If you can locate a code online, you can try entering it but this may be limited to volume and not powering on/off

 

Ok, I figured it out. NewBlacksmurf, thanks for the reply. I found if you change the setting to "toggle" instead of "on" and "off" it now works. But to your point NewBlacksmurf, it is still not working 100%. If the the sound bar goes into energy saving mode
there is no way to get it back on unless you power the xbox off then back on again. Or use the soundbar remote. I guess I see a trip to target in my near future to get the xbox remote. It seems like the best way to really tackle TV/Audio problems.

 

I had the same issue with my other TV/sound bar.
