Why do my headsets not work on Xbox Series X?

Hi Adromyster, my name is Oskayra and I will be happy to help you.

Check to see if the microphone on the headset is muted. Some headsets have a mute button on the headset itself or on the cable.

To check if the microphone on your headset is muted, follow these steps:

    Open the "Settings" application.
    Select "Sound & Display".
    Select "Audio".
    Select "Microphone".
Check the "Microphone Mute" button. If the button is on, the microphone is muted.

Check your console's audio settings. Make sure that the headset microphone is selected as the audio input device.

To check your console's audio settings, follow these steps:

    Open the "Settings" application.
    Select "Sound & Display".
    Select "Audio".
    Select "Input Devices".
Make sure that the headset microphone is selected as the input device.

You can also test the headset on another version of the console. If the microphone works on another version of the console, then the problem is related to your console version. In this case, it is possible that your console is not compatible with your headset.

I hope I have been able to help you and that your problem has been solved.

    Regards, Oskayra

stealth 700 gen2 max for ps ruining audio when in call

Hello, Paxton my name is Oskayra I am an independent advisor and player like you I hope I can help solve your problem today

It's definitely frustrating when your Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max for PS5 suddenly starts ruining the audio quality during calls on your computer. Here are some potential reasons and troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:

    Possible Reasons:

Audio Settings Conflict: Conflicting audio settings between your computer and the headset can cause distorted audio during calls.

Microphone Interference: Background noise or other audio sources near your microphone might be causing interference.

Microphone Sensitivity: The microphone sensitivity might be set too high, picking up unwanted noise.

Outdated Drivers: Outdated audio drivers on your computer might not be compatible with the headset, leading to audio problems.

Hardware Issues: A hardware issue with the headset or the microphone itself could be the culprit.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

    Check Audio Settings:

On your computer, ensure the default audio device is set to the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max.

Double-check the call application's audio settings and confirm the correct microphone and speaker are selected.
Adjust the mic volume and gain levels to ensure clear audio transmission without distortion.

    Minimize Background Noise:

Use the headset in a quiet environment with minimal background noise.
Position the microphone away from your mouth to minimize breathing sounds.
Consider using a pop filter to further reduce unwanted noise.

    Adjust Microphone Sensitivity:

On your computer, find the microphone settings for the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max.

Lower the microphone sensitivity to reduce the pickup of ambient noise.
Experiment with different sensitivity levels to find the optimal balance.
    Update Audio Drivers:

I really hope your problem has been fixed with my help, have a nice day. Oskayra

    Xbox party chat ?

Hi, GWLADYS my name is Jhon, and will be a pleasure help you

There are several options for Xbox party chat without wearing a traditional headset:

    Speakers and Microphone:

Connect a USB microphone and external speakers or soundbar to your Xbox. This provides a hands-free option with decent audio quality, but microphone placement is crucial to avoid picking up background noise.

    Bluetooth Headset with Audio Out:

Some Bluetooth headsets offer dual audio out, allowing you to connect them to your Xbox via Bluetooth for voice chat and your TV via an audio cable for game audio. This can be a comfortable option, but check headset compatibility.

Microsoft Wireless Adapter for Stereo Headphones:

This adapter connects your TV's optical audio output to your Xbox controller, enabling wireless game audio reception on most stereo headphones. While not strictly party chat, you can use the controller microphone or a separate USB microphone connected to the Xbox for voice chat.

    Discord App on Mobile:

Download the Discord app on your phone, join your friends' server, and connect to the voice chat. Use your phone's speaker or headphones for audio and the built-in microphone or separate headphones for chatting. This option involves additional device usage but offers flexibility and access to wider Discord communities.

    Xbox Remote Play:

If you have a PC or laptop with a good microphone and speakers, use the Xbox Remote Play app to stream your Xbox to your PC. You can then use the PC's audio and microphone for party chat and game audio. This requires a strong internet connection for good streaming quality.

    Considerations:

Microphone quality: Regardless of the option you choose, prioritize a decent microphone to ensure clear voice chat with your friends.

Background noise: Be mindful of background noise in your environment and position your microphone accordingly for better voice clarity.

Latency: Bluetooth connections can sometimes introduce audio latency, so consider wired options if lag is a concern.

Ultimately, the best option for you depends on your budget, preference for comfort, and the audio setup you already have. Try out different options and see what works best for your gaming experience!

    I hope this information helps!
