    I am not getting any audio through my controller when I plug in a headset. When I am in the xbox home screen or in a game, no audio comes to the headset, but I can hear my friends in the xbox party chat. I do not think the issue is the headset since it
    works fine when I plug it into a pc or laptop for youtube videos, and the issue is not the chat mixer either I checked the settings. The controller is 2 years old now I believe so it might be that. I only have the one controller so i cannot test another. I
    had the issue a few days ago but i simply restarted the xbox and the problem went away though, it came back the next day and has not worked since. I am currently looking for controller replacements (preferably wired controllers since reviews for wireless always
    mention connectivity issues) however if there is another solution I would like to try those first.

    Im having the same issue with my Astro A40s. Even adjusting the game/chat volume control on the mixamp does nothing but change whether in game music is louder or if in game character audio is louder. Nothing seems to affect the party chat audio by itself.

    The problem is that the left dial dosen't work, it can rotate but it doesn't actually change the volume. It stuck on game audio and I can't hear game or party chat.

    Question, I can hear the game audio, but I cant change the chat volume, yet I can still hear my friends in party's and game chat. The only way I can change how loud there voice is to change the game volume on my X12. I tried going to preferences and voice,
    but when I switch to play through headset, I don't hear my friends. Is there anyway I can change my friends voice volume? Because chat volume doesn't work on game chat and party chat.

    so will the option of being able to tune audio volume when using Kinect for chat will that still work for if your not using Kinect and using the headset in party chat? cause right now I'll go to party chat but cannot tune what volume the xbox feels like
    turning the volume down to and to me the xbox turns the volume down way too much for me.

    have you tried starting a party and go into that party and checking your audio settings. i reckon you have scrolled all your game volume to mute and party chat 100 percent on the volume bar
