    Bought my XSX last Friday. From day one, audio lag across the entire system. All apps, all games, and dashboard navigation sounds as well EVEN OUT OF TV SPEAKERS. So no, this is not the common issue of eARC/Dolby. Tv is a TCL 6 series 55” (new version, 4K 120HZ). My ps4 pro does not produce any apparent lag whatsoever and lip sync across video apps on it seem perfect on this same TV. Have never noticed lag with the Nintendo switch that is hooked up to it either. I’ve tried changing all my audio settings on both the XSX and my tv as well. No matter what settings, whether it is switch it to Dolby, stereo uncompressed, etc. nothing makes a perceivable difference. Tried enabling pass through on both xsx as well as tv…nothing changed. I even tried turning vrr off as well switching between 1080 and 4K. Did a system reset on the Xbox (kept games and save data only) with no success. And obviously have turned it off, restarted, unplugged the power cable a number of times. Nothing is working. The only thing left to do in my eyes is to hard reset the console and wipe all data or simply return the Xbox for a different unit. I should mention the controller headphone port seems in to be in sync. Which makes this even more confusing.

    Okay. I am going to also try another tv before factory reset. Can you tell me though, has this specific problem been brought up before to your knowledge? I’ve seen loads of people have issues with eARC and Dolby. But my issue with simply any audio connection over the xsx’s hdmi output seems incredibly rare. Never have I had an issue with a gaming console before that seemed so exclusive to me.

    I had seen other threads about a delay when using Dolby. But having issues like this with any kind of audio is pretty weird to my knowledge Blake

    Does your monitor have speakers? If it's a monitor or a TV, try the speakers. Does the audio work fine?
