  1. Audio lag on Xbox one s while being plugged from Xbox to tv

Out of no where a couple days ago while my son was playing minecraft, I noticed significant audio lag. My xbox is hooked straight into my 2019 vizio series M TV and hasn't had an issue until yesterday. This morning he was watching Netflix and there was no lag, but when I came home from work later today, the lag was back. I tried a new HDMI cable but the lag might have been even worse.

Any help please. I've scoured reddit/Microsoft threads to no avail. Hopefully somebody knows of this situation and can help out

    ARC Channel Support

Don't worry about any video lag. Any delay caused by going through the receiver would literally be in the 5 ms range. Alternatively, instead of using the ARC, you could use an optical audio cable from the TV to the receiver, or from the Xbox directly into
    the receiver.

My receiver is not HDCP 2.2 compliant, so to get HDR from my Xbox One S, I currently have the Xbox plugged into the HDMI port on the TV, and an optical cable running from my Xbox to my receiver.

    What AV-Receiver do you use?

Also make sure that it your TV settings the hdmi port is set to "enhanced" , most are not set from the factory . My Xbox One S wouldn't recognize my TV until I did that , then it shook hands . Now if I could get rid of the audio lag when using ARC...

Audio on both Headset and TV Speakers

FYI, on my original Xbox one
when I plug in a headset into the controller the audio is redirected from the TV/HDMI to Headset and then when unplugged the audio is returned to the TV/HDMI.

    New Receiver question please.

It sounds like the root problem is that your TV is inducing input lag. While you would be able to run HDMI from the console through the receiver which would process the audio, then from the receiver to the TV, it seems that the TV is creating the lag.

    .

Make sure you enable "Game" under the AV Mode on the TV to reduce the input lag/processing. With the 360, you will gain no audio performance by using TOSLINK vs. HDMI.

    Turtle Beach X12 Question

I have exactly the same problem. My son's xbox is connected to TV with HDMI, then using the green plugs i plug direct into the red an white audio on the back of his TV. I've tried switching the TV to external speaker and the sound stops on the TV, but
still doesn't come through the X12's. Do I need to bu the Xbox audio cable? Any advise apprecited.
