Audio Jack not working on New Xbox controller

Hi, I just got a new controller about a few weeks ago and today was the first time I decided to plug in my Mic. (The Mic is also brand new I got it about 4 days ago) When I plugged in my Mic i heard nothing. So I checked if it was the mic that was not working
so I go to my brothers room to test my mic on his controller and it works. I have been trying to find ways to fix the controller but none of them will work. is there anything someone can suggest I do?

    :)

Xbox One controller not letting me use mic

Hello I am sorry your controller is not working, does your controller have a built in audio jack or an adapter? If it is the internal audio jack you can contact xbox support here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/wireless-controller-broken-wont-work
to see if you can repair or replace your controller. Sometimes its just as expensive as buying a new one though so you'll just have to find out how much it is. If its an adapter you can simply buy a new one and see if that works better, most stores have adapters
for sale and they are fairly cheap.

    Audio issue after wake up

I had the same problem recently, very annoying. If like me you have an audio control puck in between your xbox controller and headset jack, remove it and plug your headset jack directly into controller (without puck) and check if that works.

    Hope this solution helps.

Are Xbox Design Lab controllers compatible with Windows 10?

they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

or wired(supports audio via headphone jack)

The jack of the Xbox controller

    Hey there Nic,

Was this part of a Console Bundle? Also when was this purchased? As mentioned in "Xbox One controller and headset compatibility"

"As of June 2015, new Xbox One Wireless Controllers will include a 3.5-mm port so users can connect a compatible 3.5-mm audio jack directly to the controller."

If your controller does not have the 3.5-mm audio jack then it is possible that it is an older model.

    I hope this helps.

    Any news on headphones ?

No. Only for audio. The new microphone jack is difference. The companies are supposed to be working on adapters.
