Audio Issues - Xbox One X, Sonos Arc, and Astro A50

Hey everyone - so bear with me here, I have a bit to explain...

I have my Xbox One X connected to my Sonos Arc via an LG C8. I understand that the Arc needs HDMI to deliver Atmos and that the C8 doesn't push Atmos. I am getting a new TV soon so that will be taken care of there. I essentially have two problems that
I'm hoping you all can help me resolve:

    1) When connected through the TV, I get audio lag out of the Arc. All devices are up to date and I have not been able to find any changeable settings to make this go away. When I use the accompanying optical-to-HDMI adapter from the Xbox straight into
the Arc, I don't have any audio delay. Ideally, I would like to route sound via HDMI through the TV. Is there a way to remove the lag?

    2) Perhaps my biggest issue because it annoys me beyond belief. I have the Astro A50's with base station, and although I like them, I don't think they're worth $300 (but that's a story for another time). My A50's are hooked up via optical (a powered splitter
going to the base station and Arc) and the USB cable. I have noticed a significant sound change whenever the base station is hooked up to my Xbox, almost like it switches from surround sound to stereo. In the "Volume & Audo Output" settings on Xbox, the
"Speaker Audio" settings are grayed out when the base station is connected. So this tells me that the Xbox cannot differentiate between when the A50's are powered on vs powered off (defaults to headset audio settings at all times). Is there a way to change
    this?

    3) I use Dolby Atmos for Headphones as the Headset Format with the HDMI/optical box checked. Speaker audio settings are all bitstream out (except when that box is checked and they they all switch to "Headset Format". Did I do this right?

I hate having to unplug my headset just to get proper sound from my Sonos system when watching movies and TV. I game rather frequently and at varying hours, and I just wanna be lazy and not have to constantly plug and unplug the base station. I'm thinking
about just getting the Arctis 9x headsets instead since they use the Xbox wireless system like our controllers do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    :)

Xbox Series X - no dedicated digital sound output

    I'm in a similar situation...

I use astro a50 gen 2 headset for my audio through optical port, without the optical port on the Series X my £299 astro headset is useless, just had order and spend another £299 for the astro a50 gen 4 to work with the Series X,

I would have rather have paid an extra £5-£10 more for the Series X console for it to have an optical port than having to pay out £299 for a new headset

I use a 4K monitor but it has no speakers, so I'm stuck with no audio at all for the Series X until I get my new headset.

Xbox One X: Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) support

As the Xbox One X is an audio source, it doesn't need to send or receive audio via ARC or eARC.

Audio Return Channel is only for TV's that are supposed to "return" Audio back to an AV receiver or connected Soundbar.

As the Xbox One X doesn't have speakers to play audio recieved through ARC, it won't support "ARC" or "eARC". Your TV needs to support ARC or eARC.

What exactly is your TV and console setup, that you would need eARC in the Xbox One X?

    Xbox One Sound Lag

I've got the same problem. Xbox one x to LG OLED C9 to Samsung soundbar over ARC. I'm getting video before audio. I've tried all settings on TV and xbox. Looking into this, people on LG forums and Sonos are saying its Xbox at fault anything over Hdmi is
behind. I don't know if its true but I don't get any audio lag over optical. Just Hdmi.
