  1. Audio issues with Wireless headset

I recently got a Series X. I have all firmware on my elite 2 and xbox updated. I've tried multiple Steelseries Headsets and now Razer headsets. They all are having audio drops and disconnections from my xbox. At one point, both my controller and headset both disconnected at the same time from the xbox. Has me wondering if they're interfering with each other. Is anyone else having these issues? If not, what wireless headsets is everyone using? If I plug my PS headset into my controller I don't have any issues, which leads me to believe it's on the xbox wireless protocol.

I've tried every troubleshooting step possible. I have gone through 3 Steelseries 9x headsets and 2 razers Kaira Pros. All are having the same issues since I've got this Xbox in the middle of February. I had the issues since then and the new firmware has not improved anything as of yet. I have used the headset with Bluetooth and have no issues with my phone or computer. I have a PS5 and have used that headset by plugging into the 3.5m jack on my controller and have zero issues with that. I'm pretty sure there are interference issues with the xbox wireless protocol.

Thank you! Is it possible that your Xbox Wireless Headset displays as more than one audio device in your audio device list? (ex: Wireless Headset Stereo, Wireless Headset - Hands Free AG)

    Xbox Wireless Headset Distorted Sound

Yesterday (12/1/2021), I experienced extremely choppy audio in Warzone. Thinking this may be a wireless issue, I unplugged the XBox Wireless Adapter and used the USB-C port for audio (USB-C to USB-C). Guess what? I still had choppy audio on the Xbox Wireless headset! I switched to an older 3.5 mm headphone, and the audio was fine.

I think switching to a wired headset is a good idea at this point, as the Scruffy Fuzzy said above.

Thanks. As it says returning it may give me a refurbished one I may have to try to return it to where I bought it first.
