    Audio issues with wireless headset


    I've just got the Xbox wireless headset. When using it with my series X the sound frequently jumps and becomes intermittent. If I use it to listen to music on my phone every few minutes I get the whoosh sound like it's reconnecting to Bluetooth, and the audio cuts out for a few seconds.

    It seems like a general Bluetooth connection issue from the headset. Does that seem right? Is there a way to fix it or should I replace the headset? I've tried a hard reset. I couldn't tell if I did that correctly but if I did it didn't work.

    Thank you! Is it possible that your Xbox Wireless Headset displays as more than one audio device in your audio device list? (ex: Wireless Headset Stereo, Wireless Headset - Hands Free AG)

    Yesterday (12/1/2021), I experienced extremely choppy audio in Warzone. Thinking this may be a wireless issue, I unplugged the XBox Wireless Adapter and used the USB-C port for audio (USB-C to USB-C). Guess what? I still had choppy audio on the Xbox Wireless headset! I switched to an older 3.5 mm headphone, and the audio was fine.

    I think switching to a wired headset is a good idea at this point, as the Scruffy Fuzzy said above.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Make sure your headset is updated with the latest firmware. On Xbox X|S, you can access the Accessories app in the Settings menu: Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
