Audio issue after wake up

As asked before by others, audio glitches out of does not play after waking the xbox from sleep. I use always on because I don't like waiting for the xbox to cycle on.

Things that fix the issue:

1. Power cycle. This defeats the purpose of always on. This is not an answer, don't write that again, ambassadors.

2. Going home, switching to a different game, switching back to the game I want. This is a pain because 9 times out of ten, I am at a point where I can not save, and to restart the game means going back to the last check point and (sometimes) grinding the
same 30 minutes of a game repeatedly.

Are there any REAL fixes out there? A new update to address this? Something that is not option 1 or 2 which both really are not fixes? Taping the hole only works in the short run, you need to fix the hole for the long run.

I had the same problem recently, very annoying. If like me you have an audio control puck in between your xbox controller and headset jack, remove it and plug your headset jack directly into controller (without puck) and check if that works.

Unfortunately, this was not helpful. The xbox is connected via HDMI to the television, the surround sound for the television supplies the sound. On the rare occasion I use a wired headset to the controller, the issue happens in both the headset and the television.

When this started happening, I thought my tv was on mute. Then I thought it was the settings.

Sorry to hear it. If you have Instant On on a permanent basis you should do a full powercycle by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down to clear the cache. This should prevent game or console related issues

Sorry about that issue but it generally due too a saturation of the cache memory… So the best way to fix it its to make a powercycle as told you the previous ambassador. If the problem its still there after the powercycle, its maybe the game itself ( so
uninstall it and re-install it AND dont launch it before 100% ) or an hardware issue ( hdmi cable / console ).

still the same issue, audio choppy, cuts out, distorted, "crackle/pops"...i guess to wake microsoft up we'll just have to rma our consoles. A few thousand to hundreds of thousands of consoles coming back may wake them up to the problem. Im waiting on the
april patch, and if its not fixed im getting one that doesn't pop/crackle.
