    So I have not been able to hear game chat on cod since I've gotten the newest game. It won't even show me if they have headsets. If I'm in a party I can hear only those players and they can hear non party members and see they have headsets. I've toggled everything on and off through the game including resets and crossplay. I've also went through Xbox settings and made sure it allows everyone. My mic works fine and people in my party can hear me.

    It seems that either the sound bar does not have a Dolby Digital decoder, or that the TV does not pass the Dolby Digital signal through. When the Xbox 360 boots up, it outputs in 2-channel stereo until it starts the dashboard and reads the system settings.

    A workaround is to set the audio output settings on the Xbox 360 to "Digital Stereo". This should make the sound work.

    What model is the sound bar and which model Xbox 360 do you have (traditional or Xbox 360 S)?

    My nat type is open all services available. No problem with party chat I can hear them and they can hear me. I cannot hear game chat at all. I have reinstalled the game twice since my last contact. I have reset all settings and reapplied them. Still nothing.

    This procedure may help in this chat case: Go to Settings > Audio and change the audio settings from Party Only to All Lobby Audio. You can also disable the Proximity Chat option in the Audio section.
