    Audio greyed out


    I was just playing on my xbox when the sound cuts out so i unplug and plug in my headset but still not working so i check the audio input and it is all greyed out with the headset volume on zero and i did not put it on zero, i tried everything like following
    loads of tutorials but still nothing worked but strangly i start an xbox party and my mic is WORKING but still no sound, any solutions?

    Audio sliders greyed out?

    I had the same issue one time. It fixes itself over time.

    hdmi output greyed out

    I went to settings then volume and audio output and the using hdmi or optical audio headset is unchecked and still greyed out

    its not the setup its the fact that on the xbox the HDMI audio output is greyed out and wont let me change it.

    the speaker audio wont let me change it.

    Our volume & audio output section has 3 headings;

    volume options

    speaker audio (which is greyed out)

    headset audio

    doesnt appear to have a audio tv only option?

    Any other ideas?!
