    Audio Format Changing by Itself....

I have the xbox one x hooked up to a Sony TV and a soundbar with Dolby Atmos. Ever since the 10/11 update, my sound settings in the xbox will change from Atmos to 7.1 and sometimes even to 2.1. Is anyone else having this problem? It was fine until the
    new software came out.

    :)

No audio via HDMI, tried multiple cables, ports and Tv's.

Following the most recent update to my Xbox 360, I am unable to get audio on my TV via the HDMI connector.

The unit is up to date, ports are in excellent shape, no damage or even wear and tear.

    What Doesn't Work:

    • Changing ports on the TV in question. (Sharp Aquos LCD)
    • Changing cable manufacturers (Monster, PNY, Generic)
    • Changing the TV itself.
    • Enabling or Disabling display discovery on the console.
    • Changing the audio format from Digital Stereo to DTS etc.
    What does work:

    • Composite cables do produce audio on the TV
    • Optical output produces audio on the TV
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Silas

Hey guys, this is a known issue that can be fixed on some STBs by changing the audio format from on the STB from surround/dolby to Stereo PCM.

If you have a DirecTV genie extender, we're still working through the root cause of this issue.

    FADED/MUFFLED HEADSET AUDIO

If you hadn’t mentioned the part about the two consoles having the same audio settings, but the two sound different, I would’ve said that maybe it’s the headset audio format. On a certain console update, the audio format was changed. It sounded really
strange, but I couldn’t figure out what it was, so I messed around with stuff, before eventually changing the headset format to “stereo uncompressed”. That fixed it. It sounded exactly like it did before the update changed it. So, I don’t know, maybe mess
with the headset audio format in the volume and audio output settings, see if that helps at all.

I did mess around with the different audio formats. Stereo uncompressed does sound slightly better but I can still tell the audio is distorted. I’ll keep messing with the settings though to see if something clicks

[translation-In the meantime thank you very much, I checked and everything affixed as far as the audio. In audio output and volume, however, it does not make me change speaker audio. It remains on HDMI audio format headphones- optical audio format
headphones format system disabled. Could that be the problem?and in case I can change it?

Problema con micrófono en aplicación Xbox para Windows 10 (Problem with microphone in Xbox application for Windows 10)

Windows audio devices support a wide range of audio formats. Sometimes, incompatibilities with drivers or the audio software in Windows affect audio playback or recording. To try different audio formats:

    1. Do either of the following:
      • Select the Start button, type control panel, select
        Control Panel, then select Sound.
      • On the taskbar, right-click on the sound icon (next to the date and time), then select
        Playback devices.
    2. Right-click the default device (it’ll be check-marked), select Properties, then select the
      Advanced tab.
    3. In Default Format, select the box to change the audio format. Once you’ve changed the format, check the playback by selecting
      Test.
    4. When you’re done, select OK.
