Audio drops out nonstop when Xbox is set to 4k on both my s and Scorpio

Having the same issue with a Samsung TV 2016 model.

anyone have any updates on this with Samsung? I ordered the Xbox one X I hope I don’t have the same issue!!!

Do you have the same problem on your scorpio? I have it with my S and my Scorpio and I'm getting pissed off. I have the ks8000. My audio drops out nonstop I have to play with the sound off because that's how bad it is.

I have this same issue on my Samsung TV. It's definitely an Xbox issue. I have an S and Scorpio and when I play games in 4k the audio drops non stop for me... Sound cuts in and out every other second for long periods. Strangely when I'm watching 4k Blu-ray
I have no sound issues it's only games. Even stranger, every game I tried does this except one, the new cod ww2 on my Scorpio. When I'm watching Netflix or direct TV 4k I have no issues so this makes me believe it's a Xbox issue. I even exchanged 3 different
S models and had same results. When I switch back to 1080p no issues at all. I've tried different HDMI ports and cables and nothing fixes it. Someone please help

Depends on what you want. This unit will play 4k blu ray movies. It will do 4k content. And it will upscale games. Plus, at 1080p you should see solid framerates without the drops that units like the original and PS4 see many times. So those can be
big benefits now. We also do not know what the Scorpio will cost. And if it will be something most would want. If all the games work on the S and Scorpio and the key difference for Scorpio is 4k gaming and VR then it might not be for many for a while at
it is out.

I am picking up an S because of the 4k blu ray and content for my wife. I will use the console for gaming myself for a while and then will get a Scorpio when that launches if I think it worth it after we learn more. Then my wife will play the S model.
It sort of depends on the Scorpio as well on how the Play Anywhere works out. I can play ReCore, Forza Horizon 3, and Gears 4 on my PC. And play it with my wife and sons who will be on PC and Xbox. If more games go that route I would probably just skip
the Scorpio all together.

My thoughts would be that unless you are absolutely desperate for 4k media now, then the Xbox One S is a waste of money.

If you want a console go for the original Xbox One, which will be cheaper, and put the savings into a Scorpio fund. The Scorpio will after all give 4k media and 4k gaming.

The Xbox One S as well as my LG UH8500 4k tv both had updates yesterday 8/22/16. since the updates I have not noticed trouble with the audio anymore. It seems the updates resolved the issue. I still have the HDR turning back on when exiting HDR video though
but that is not as big a deal as the audio. You may want to check settings on your xbox and update your system and check your televisions as this has resolved the audio cutting out for me.
