Audio doesn't work on headset.

Hi so for about a month now the audio in my headsets have not been working. I have tried all four of my remotes and about three different headsets and they didn't work. I have also noticed a muted symbol on the bottom left corner of my screen
when I hit the menu button but I don't know if thats related. Also if i go to accessories the volume button doesn't let me push it. I was wondering if someone can help me fix that problem.

The cords are connected correctly and i tried it on another device and they work fine. its only on the xbox that they don't work.

yes, but that didn't work. I tried and the head set still had no audio coming through.

are you using a preview build from the Insider program?

Have you checked to make sure that the cords for the headset are all connected correctly.

have you tried the headset on another device, as it could be the headset.

Have you checked your audio settings on the console to make sure that it's set up for audio to come through the headset?

My headset is strange when it comes to chat sometimes and also needs to be paired again with the charging tower. If it's a plug and play you may need to reach out to Microsoft to see if it can be replaced if it's still under warranty.
