Audio Cutting In and Out / Fortnite Crashes Mid-Game

I did a lot of research into this before posting, but I cannot find a solution.

I am having an issue where, when I am in a party, the chat audio comes and goes. I can be talking and hearing the party members, then my audio cuts and they cannot hear me. Then, their's will cut and I cannot here them. I remain in the party, I can see
on my screen that people are talking, but I cannot hear them nor can they hear me. Also, during this period, I can still hear the game audio. After a random amount of time, the chat audio will return for a few seconds, but then the same thing happens. This
happens whether I am in game or at the home screen.

I've:

• Restarted the xbox.
• Shut down the xbox, unplugged it for 30 seconds, then turned it back on.
• I've held the power button down to turn it off, unplugged it for 30 seconds, then turned it back on.
• I turned it off, unplugged it, held the power button for 30 seconds, let it sit for another 30 seconds, then turned it back on. ("Cleared the cache").
• Reset to factory settings.

None of it has worked.

Interestingly, if I sign it to my brother's Xbox, the same exact thing happens on that system. Yet, my brother can re log-in to his xbox and the problem goes away on his account. Also, he can sign in to my xbox and have no problems.

Around the same time that this audio thing started, my Fortnite began crashing mid-game. It will take me back to the home screen. There is nothing specific as to when that happens. It happens in Solo games, Creative, etc., although maybe more frequently
in Creative.

I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. No change. I moved it from my ED back to by internal HD, no change. I uninstalled/reinstalled separately directly to both locations. No change.

These two issues started around the same time.

I reached out to a Microsoft chat agent and they could not even give me any guidance or suggestions. Any thoughts???
