    Audio consistently cutting out twice within a 4 second span.


    This is driving me crazy. Has anyone else experience this issue? It doesn't matter if I'm in a game, watching tv, watching Netflix, etc. The audio will be fine for about an hour and then it will cut out, come back, cut out, and come back again. This
    all happens within a 4-5 second span. I'm using high speed hdmi cables, running through a 2014 Yamaha Receiver. I've tried different cables (including the one that came w/system), different hdmi ports in my Yamaha, and different audio settings in the Xbox
    One (bitstream and 5.1 uncompressed), but this issue persists.

    This issue completely kills any immersion you have whether watching a movie or playing a game. We were watching a 3D movie last night with the surround sound cranking and this issue happened twice within a 2 hour span. I was just playing a game with my
    child, and this issue occurred again which prompted me to jump on here and make this post. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    No the controller works perfectly fine within 5 meters the problem is the AUDIO ! it keeps cutting every time, Skipping for example every 20 seconds it cuts ..Read the forums im not the only one having this problem.

    Audio cutting out

    I have an Xbox One X and a PS4 Pro running thru the same brand new Sony receiver then outputting to my 2018 Sony OLED. On the Xbox One X, I lose audio after the intro movie for The Crew 2 and Onrush. This fixed as soon as I go back to the Xbox menu and
    have no issues on the PS4 Pro.

    I am not part of the Xbox insider program or whatever it is called and other games work just fine.

    Please advise. Any thoughts???

    Hey there Mist! I'd like you to try a few things to see if we can narrow down the cause of this. Try using a different HDMI cable entirely. If that doesn't help, try using a different HDMI port on the TV. If you have one, try connecting your console to that
    TV instead. Finally, try connecting your console with the included AV cables instead to see if you experience the same issue. Please let me know the results of these tests, thanks!

    I think that sounds like a slightly different issue. I don't get any chat audio at all once a mic cable is plugged in. I've tried a few mic cables and the problem is totally consistent. I'm waiting to test out whether I've got a defective unit here but am
    having to wait due to the stock shortages. My gut feeling is that this is actually a software issue. The fact that chat audio plays through the headset before a mic is plugged in, then cuts out as soon as the mic is plugged in means that the adaptor is detecting
    the mic and then incorrectly cutting out the chat audio.

    The audio is very weird, it is t consistent it sometimes just skips the whole stuttering and cuts out completely and I don’t know why it will fix itself after a while it’s very weird, maybe my Xbox is too cold and needs to warm up?
