Audio & Chat won't work together

I have a pair of Astro A40s. When I plug my headset into the mixamp I can hear the other players. The second I plug the cord into the Chat adapter, I am no longer able to hear anything but I can use my mic. Once I remove, mic stops working and I can hear
them again.

Game audio through stereo headset?

my controller is updated and the game audio won't work sometimes it will it just won't show the chat mixer option HELP

 

Can't Hear Chat Unless...

You headset is wireless, but it only supports wireless game audio, so you will have to have the headset plugged into the controller for chat to work properly.

On your controller's chat adapter you will want to press the button that rises the volume of voice chat until it beeps and won't allow you to adjust it anymore, this will ensure only chat audio is being sent through the controller since your wireless adapter
is broadcasting the game audio.

I was wandering have you tried to update the xbox one controller and does this issue still occur? If you have not tried to update the controller the steps are here to follow.

Before trying these updates be sure the controller has the stereo adapter connected.

Wirelss Update
HERE - An Xbox One Wireless Controller purchased in or after June 2015 can take updates wirelessly without connecting via USB cable. This controller has a small, circular 3.5-mm port on the bottom of the controller; controllers without this port must update
via USB cable.

I have updated my controllers, mixamp, and chat adapters. I spoke to customer support last night for over an hour and nothing was resolved.

 

Having the same problems with my tb x500 stealth I can't hear anyone or talk but they can hear me. I plugged in the cord than I can hear and talk than I take out the cord and it works. But have to do it every time getting *** off.
