    Audio broken on alpha skip-ahead. Factory reset didn't fix.


    After updating to alpha-skip ahead it would not allow game sound or home screen sound through my TV with the new settings on specifically larger titles (cod, halo, pubg ect..). But would work on smaller titles (paladins, fortnite, F2P) and specically with TV and chat on one ear headset. It would work on my second pair that included game sound and chat with two ear phones.
    IDK if it's related too ATMOS or ARC function but it's extremely annoying. Even doing a factory reset didn't fix it.
    I had to do a factory reset twice and then kept hard resetting the console until it finally gave me sound back to my TV....One of my headsets for whatever reason just doesn't work anymore for chat and it died mid convo after the original update when i lost TV sound which coincidently was right after i launched Halo Infinite.
    I tried plugging in the headset to multiple controllers to confirm and tried a different pair i knew worked and they didn't work at first even after i fixed the sound problems with TV and yada yada... After resetting a few more times with the headphones plugged in the second pair magically started working (this is on factory reset after everything happened just in case your confused) and because they started working i decided to try the first pair of headphones that originally stopped working... nothing... idk what the heck happened during this update but omg i have never been more frustrated in a console update.

    Well if he's in the insider programn then he got a update today had the same issue the alpha & apha skip ahead builds are broken for 50% of the people that are ih that group so don't update your console if you're in alpha or alpha skip ahead

    If you have unenrolled from the Alpha or Alpha Skip Ahead, the console will be marked in the Microsoft database for unenrollment.

    However, if the System wasn't factory reset, the Alpha/Skip Ahead Software is still installed.

    You might have to download an
    OSUDT to an USB stick     and do a factory reset with a fresh system install from USB.

    Klick on the link above and follow the instructions for updating your console offline (the tile on the right).

    Are you on the Insider Alpha skip ahead builds? If so it is a known issue they are working on fixing.

    If not, try the reset as suggested and hopefully that will fix it.
