  1. Audio bitstreaming on Xbox One X - WHICH APPS support this?

I have an older Xbox One, I use for gaming, AND streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime, Media player and Plex for my videos and Audio.

One MAJOR ISSUE, is that Xbox One does NOT send the Audio to my receiver in original DIGITAL form without decoding! You can ONLY choose PCM, Dolby Digital, or DTS for output... which is NOT what I want! I want the digital audio to be sent to my receiver
AS-IS, in bitstream, so Receiver decodes it.

Has this been addressed in Xbox One X? My $25 Roku does this fine, WHY can't Xbox do it? I wanna be able to play Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, or other formats that my receiver plays without Xbox in the way!

    :)

Audio bitstreaming on Xbox One X - WHICH APPS support this?

    Hi,

The Xbox does have the option to bitstream audio. At least I have it to do so on my receiver via the HDMI option so I can confirm to you that the option does exist. I'm not sure if they change if you use the optical audio cable instead.

You might want to check your configuration on settings, or if you are part of the Xbox Insider testing, some builds have known issues regarding audio output on specific builds.

You can see how to double-check your audio configuration settings in this link:

    https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/display-sound/choosing-speaker-audio-output

If you want to check the release notes you can check this one:

    I hope that helps

When will the XBOX ONE bitstream DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD lossless formats?

Why does not Microsoft add these two audio formats to the bitstream of the xbox one x console? If only added to the blueray part. We want these audio formats to be added in the bitstream of the xbox
    one x console.

When will the XBOX ONE bitstream DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD lossless formats?

We have this problem on xbox one x, the newest console for Microsoft. And I'll ask you to deal with this problem and add this audio format to the bitstream section

You put it in the xbox one x console. Just in the blueray disc section. Why is it not possible to have sound in audio format in the bitstream section?
