My connection went from fine and fast to extremely slow, AGAIN, for no apparent reason. This has happened before, all too frequently, and often the techs try to get me to "fix" something on my end only to discover that it is a problem with YOUR network.
Once again I want to point out the ridiculous fact of the complete unreliability of xbox live. I have honestly never encountered any service in my life that reliably
[Mod Removed] up quite as much. Now this would make sense if you were some small tech team working out of a basement running a small-time gaming server, but this is MICROSOFT, a mulit-BILLION dollar corporation. Get it together.

    :)

Outrageous Microsoft customer service; a cautionary tale. 43 Days without a working console

You should post this on Xbox reddit, and their support twitter to get as much attention as possible. That sucks dude.

BTW, I am aware of the service alert regarding online social and gaming but it says core services and everything else should be up an running fine. It isn't.. everything takes FOREVER to load. Including Hulu. Like I said, this has happened all too often
before and has almost always been a problem on your end not mine, nothing has changed with my setup at all and my internet is running full speed. So, please, do something about it.

Alright well it appears to be somewhat working again, but it is still behaving awfully strange. My point stands, take care of your network. I am no techie, and I don't know the answers, but surely with the wealth of one of the biggest tech companies behind
you the xbox live team can get it together and run a decent server. Is it really THAT hard?

As above, I'm glad to hear it has resolved itself. However, I would like to suggest that if your connection is dropping it may be an issue with your isp. Perhaps try contacting them to see if there's a bottle-neck somewhere that is slowing your speeds
    down.

I would aslo advise running some connection test, like speedtest net, it will show you if there are problems with your connection (slow periods), also you might try on your computer to run ping command with large number of pings, like 100 to determine if
your connection is rock solid or well.. not.

ping -n 100 someserver.com. If you see connection timed out it will mean that it is a problem with your ISP or router.

@John and Onyx I appreciate your thoughts but apparently you neglected to read what I had written. My internet is and was running at full speed. Every time this happens it usually resolves itself fairly quickly as the network (xbox live) sorts itself out
or it ends up becoming a major problem and this site acknowledges that the problem is on their end.. with the network. So sure, I can see where you are coming from, but this is NOT an issue with my isp, my router (which I have fully set-up and gone through
before, making sure it is all the way it should be for xbox live), or my xbox's connection to my router and the internet. I have double checked that stuff plenty of times, and checked the speed before on everything (including my xbox's connection to the router),
and every test has passed with flying colors, even when this exact same issue was occurring. So to try and tell me this is on my end is incorrect. I thought I made that clear.

Also, one time I went on chat and had a tech spend nearly an hour with me trying to sort out the problem on "my end" only for them to eventually tell me that the problem was on their network, but they hadn't been sure during the whole period they wasted
my time because the issue had not become clear to them yet. So that showed me there is some significant lag in when a problem is occurring in your network and when you guys actually notice and acknowledge it. That might be something you should consider working
on. Faster diagnosis and response for network problems is a reasonable request. And more accurate and speedy updates to your active service alerts might be advisable as well. But to be fair, I know you all probably do your best, it just seems like a network
of this size and profitability should be running more reliably.
