Attack Helicopter question

Why is it that nearly every time I get into an Attack Helicopter as the gunner, the stupid pilot wants me to get out. Happens so much. What's the deal? I'm going to start shooting them down next time.

Homefront - Help with Goliath

I am on the third mission where you have to target a helicopter with the goliath to advance,

It simply will not attack the helicopter. i target it and it says target lock but the goliath will not attack

Any advice ?

they are likely planning to bail out once they are over a building or some other place where they plan to fight from. That they recommend you get out is a courtesy so you don't die when the chopper crashes. I've been in many a chopper crash because the pilot
abandoned their seat without a word. Also frustrating when someone tries to pilot a chopper & they really need more time in the 'training' area; the rest of us in the chopper 'crash & burn' with them.

Its annoying as hell, especially when you sit waiting for it lol
