att uverse no longer works with xb1

Everything was working great until about a week ago. Then it started. When i turn on the xbox one everything powers up fine but i can not get tv. it's just a blank screen. Sometimes it might say it has lost the connection to the uverse box. If i reset the
uverse box by holding the power button for 5 seconds it starts working again but the next time i power the xbox off and on it is no longer working and i have to do the same thing again. What the heck did Microsoft do now?!

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Well I'm not sure what changed but today it seems to be working. Yesterday I tried resetting the xbox tv settings to default and setting it all up again but after I did that it still didn't work. Maybe just sitting overnight magically fixed it. I don't know.

 

Well...the magic is gone. Here's my configuration if it helps.

Onkyo TX-NR515 Surround receiver

AAT uverse DVR (Cisco ISB7500)

Panasonic TC-P65ST30

HDMI from uverse to xb1 to Onkyo to Panasonic

Like i said in the initial post this has been working just fine since i got the xb1 on release day. It just started acting up about week ago. Any help is appreciated.

 

I have the exact same problem with my motorola. Something in the April patch definitely messed up the live TV on xbox one.

Does your set top box go into a "sleep" or "stand by" mode when its not being used for a long period of time? That's what mine does so when it goes to sleep and the xbox is off the connection is lost and requires a reboot of the set top box.

My solution. Just never turn off the xbox and it seems to keep the connection. Once the xb1 is off and the cable box goes to sleep the connection is toast and usually requires a full reset of both boxes to get it back.

I've yet to see a single response to this issue on these forums. Not sure where else to go.

 

I have the same issue. Finally gave up and connected the tackle to the tv without the xbox. Sad about it. Hopefully the next big update will fix the issue.

 

Well they seem to be doing them monthly so hopefully a patch comes out in May. Just odd that there's no mention or news of this anywhere on the web. My PVR is the standard box for the bell service here in Ontario so I'd imagine its affecting quite a few
people.

I'm having the same issue since the April update. I don't believe it's related to the link that digitalKiva offered up as well, as it had been working fine up until that point.

Dear Microsoft. Please fix this one asap, as it really undermines the promise of the XB1 as a digital media hub in my living room. (and the fact that it actually was working and is now broke feels like a step backward).

 

now mine has been working for a few days now. The only thing i changed was to set the uverse box audio from surround to stereo. Now sure if this fixed it but it might be worth a try.

 

Looks like the XBox One May update fixed the issue. I turned on Surround Sound on my Uverse box and it has been working fine for a couple of days now.
