Att: all Xbox 360 users ..... The digital download of original Star Wars battlefront 2 won't ...

I have tried so many times to download the battlefront 2 game to my Xbox 360..

after 80%

it straight away goes to 100% and then says

star wars battlefront 2 could not be downloaded

:)

 

Xbox engineers please please fix original Star Wars battlefront 2.. It won't download to my Xbox 360

To my knowledge the original star wars battlefront 2 dose not work on a xbox 360 console.

It is however backward compatible on an xbox one console.

 

Microsoft customer service reckons it is.. I use to own a physical disc copy but lost it.. That worked perfectly on my 360

 

I would recommend contacting Microsoft customer service again and asking them if its just the physical version of the original Star Wars battlefront 2 that works on the 360.

The 360 was not really a console that had back compat but I know some games did work if you had the disc so it could just be disc versions that works.

 

Was on the phone with support all day. It is supposed to be compatible with the 360 according to their records. I ran all the tests tricks and diagnostics you could imagine. It is on their end they have said they will try and get their engineers to work
on it still waiting though...

 

I am just sad i looked forward to play the game but then it just does not work

 

If its stopis at 80% it usualpy neans region mismatch

Does your acciount region match your actualregion

If notnthat would be why

If you domt live in an xbox live region it wont work

 

It is not a regional issue. I am currently waiting for news from xbox offline engineers on a possible fix.

 

According to support it should work on both. I had a support tech verify this for me. I think they are just unconcerned that 360 users have a problem. They're only interest is in next gen users.

 

But i have looked and my region is right What do i do

After some research it looks like this may be a known issue that is currently being worked on. I apologize for any inconvenience, please stay tuned for updates regarding this as I know that there are MANY who are experiencing this same issue right now.

 

It isn't looking good I found reports of this as far back as 3 months ago. They have stopped offering empty solutions and have moved on to admitting the dowload has bug. Been waiting a week to hear from 3 support members who are waiting to hear back from
offline support. If I were to speculate I would say they know it works on the Xbox one and are not willing to assist Xbox 360 users. At the very least they should admit this and pull the item for purchase to 360 users or explicitly state it is for Xbox one
only.

Ate yoi using a vpn or google dns

If so that would be why

A vpn or google dns gives you a different location which wont work

Also us foreign bases arent the usa thwy are using local connections
