    ATMOS stopped working


    about a week ago ATMOS output of my Xbox one stopped working. With Atmos setting as output on, as it was until now, the console loses all audio. In the dolby app, games and even all sounds of the interactions with menus. Was there an update that broke it
    or something?

    Dolby Atmos logo not appearing (and not working) in Netlfix on One S

    I have:

    - Xbox One S (in alpha preview) with original HDMI cable

    - Onkyo TX-NR676 AV Receiver with Dolby Atmos, current firmware, 5.1.2 speakers

    - Dolby Atmos app installed on Xbox One S working properly

    - Netlfix app installed on Xbox One S working properly (except for Atmos)

    - All speakers are working fine

    Dolby Atmos is working fine with the Xbox One S blu-ray app. Actually not really completely fine....After you stop playing a blu-ray, there is a complete loss of sound in other apps for awhile (the Xbox dashboard sounds work fine). But whatever,
    at least while the blu-ray is playing with an Atmos title, the ceiling speakers work, sound comes out of them and Atmos is displayed on the receiver. It works.

    Dobly Atmos will not work whatsoever in Netflix. I have uninstalled Neflix, reinstalled, restarted, hard-restart, reset. Nothing doing. No Dolby Atmos logo will appear for any Netflix title for which it is supposed to appear...just 5.1, that's it...

    There are no known issues with Atmos in the alpha preview.

    It just recently stopped working. I haven’t had a problem with Atmos working until today. Every other piece of equipment that I own that has Atmos is working

    A am 99% sure the Xbox atmos version is the issue. When i first set up my receiver (also vsx 934) atmos worked great with the xbox. The next day, i did a firmware update on the receiver and the xbox stopped working with atmos.

    Netflix Not Outputting Dolby Atmos On Xbox One

    Since the last update, Dolby Atmos has stopped working and an undefined PCM data stream is being output.
    All apps are affected, such as Netflix, Disney, VLC.
    Dolby Atmos works with the Xbox sound test program.

    Previously, Dolby Atmos had worked without any problems.
    All other devices (Blu-ray player, mini PC, FireTV, AndroidTV, etc.) still work perfectly with Atmos on the Denon 4700X.

    I don't have a solution for you, unfortunately, but wanted you to know I'm having a very similiar issue. I have a Sony STR-DN1080 receiver and Dolby Atmos was working fine for over a year, then suddenly last weekend (at least that's when I noticed it), no
    more Atmos. I didn't have a freeze, but the Bitstream format reverted to DTS on its own and I get an error that the receiver doesn't support Atmos when I try to go back to the Atmos Bitstream format. I opened a similar thread yesterday:

    Only party audio playing through headset?

    Is it possible that you set your sound output for headphones to Dolby Atmos and didn't buy the Dolby Atmos App?

    If so, you will be able to try Dolby Atmos through Headphones for 14 days, after which it'll stop working.

    You need to switch to basic Stereo or Windows Sonic if you want spatial 3D sound without paying for Dolby Atmos.
