At my witts end with trying to get an open NAT!!!!

I've been fighting with trying to get an open NAT for over a year now & don't know what else to do. I have new fiber from my local internet provider, am running a new netgear R7000 nitehawk router & have tried every trick & tip I can think of. I've done
port forwarding, adjusted upnp settings, set up static ip, reset everything & done it all again, powered stuff down & powered it back up, even prayed to the Xbox gods lol. I can sometimes get an open NAT on the network screen in settings & it says it's behind
a cone NAT, but I have yet to get an open NAT playing COD. The COD franchise is mostly what I play & it's always moderate. PLEASE PLEASE somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong! Thanks

so ive bought a new controller too just to be sure but even still it wont work as far as the nat type for me and my friends they are all open and even when in a party by myself the light for the mic wont light up i literally have tried everything that has
been listed and much more including turning on powersaving mode so im at my witts end

What kind of modem are you running?

There is no modem. It's fiber optic cable coming from my internet provider right to a box on the outside of the house.

This sounds like something that you will have to address with your ISP. Need to have a better understanding of the service they provide and how they are delivering it to you. Explain the situation to them and enlist their input.

I run that same router with a plain cable modem and I do not experience any of the issues that you describe.
