At my wits end with the Xbox Windows 10 App not loading my messages...

Hi everyone,

I am losing my mind with trying to figure out why the hell my Windows 10 Xbox app will not load my messages. Party chat works just fine. I also get party invites no problem & game invites, but I cannot send, see, or receive messages whatsoever.

I have tried so many possible solutions.

- Restarting my computer

- Resetting the Xbox app

- Enabling/disabling my firewall

- Reinstalling the App through the Windows store

- Uninstalling the app through an elevated Powershell prompt & reinstalling through the Windows Store

- Doing a reputation check, which seemed fine.

- Trying the Xbox Beta App

- Restarting the IP Helper services in services.msc

- Ensuring my NAT is OPEN on the Xbox app by opening ports

- Contacted an Xbox support representative and went through the standard troubleshooting above again

- Contacted 2 Windows 10 Support representative and they did various troubleshooting steps that did not work.

- Finally I completely reinstalled Windows 10 Pro and reverted to Version 1803 (was on 1809) and that did not fix anything.

The weird thing about all of this is that if I use another Xbox Live account, the message take a while to load (like 5 minutes) but it actually works. I am not sure if my account is corrupted or something, but I would really like this to work on my main
account because it's the primary one I use.

Please help, I have been trying to fix this for almost a month now.

I'm sorry that you didn't feel my response was suitable, but I was just trying to help you out with your issue. Considering that everyone describes things differently, resetting could mean something different for you than it does me. I don't know if you
were being sarcastic or not, but I hope that your issue gets resolved. Have a good day.

nothing that I have suggested helps. Have a good day.

Like I said, I appreciate your help, but the 2nd bullet point was about me resetting my Xbox App. Unless you skimmed through it or there are some standard suggestions/protocols you have to follow, then you couldn't have missed what I said. Just doesn't seem
like you read my post at all or else you wouldn't have posted something I already said I tried in bullet points. I have already contacted Xbox support, once again said in the bullet points. Am I being trolled?

I suggested you to contact Xbox Support again, because often times, they will have different suggestions based on the representative. As I explained in my last post, everyone defines things differently, and what resetting means to you could be different for
the next person. I don't know if you're not understanding me correctly or have overlooked something that was said. Either way, I hope that your issue gets resolved soon, and you consider reading the recommended discussion in my first reply. Just remember that

I appreciate your help. I don't mean to be rude and this is a serious question. Did you even read my post? The 2nd bullet point was me Resetting my Xbox app. Resetting it also requires you to sign-in again so yes I have signed in and out.
