    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the gateway address “192.168.1.1” into the web address bar.
    4. When prompted for a username and password type in “admin” for both the username and the password.
    5. On the main page select the “System status” icon (shown as a router with a lock on it).
    6. On the right hand side is the current wireless password (by default there is no current password, wireless security is off).
    Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the gateway address “192.168.1.1” into the web address bar.
    4. When prompted for a username and password type in “admin” for both the username and the password.
    5. On the main page select the “System status” icon (shown as a gateway with a lock on it).
    6. On the right had side of the page you will see some basic wireless information.
    7. Make sure the 2.4Ghz tab is selected.
    8. In the “Authentication Method” drop down box, select the “WPA2-Personal” option.
    9. Next add a wireless password in the “WPA-PSK key” box below.
    10. Click on the “Apply” button.
    11. To disable the wireless security, change the “Authentication Method” dropdown back to “Open System” and set the “WEP Encryption” to “None”.
    12. Click the “Apply” button on the bottom of the page.

    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

    The Wireless Password is not visible on the default firmware for this device.



    Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser and in the address bar enter
      192.168.123.1
      and enter admin for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Wireless from the menu on the left.
    4. Select Interface from the submenu.
    5. To change/disable the wireless security from the Authentication Method drop down select the desired security type (Open System, WPA-Personal, WPA2-Personal or WPA-Auto-Personal).
    6. If Open System is selected, choose the WEP Encryption (None, 64-bit or 128-bit).
    7. If WPA is selected, choose the WPA Encryption (TKIP, AES, TKIP+AES).
    8. Enter the WPA Pre-Shared Key or WEP Key.
    9. If WEP security is selected the password will need to be 10 charecters in length (if 64-bit) or 26 characters in length (if 128-bit) and can only use 0-9 and A-F.
    10. If WPA or WPA2 was selected the password can be between 8-63 characters, is case sensative and can use any character on your keyboard.
    11. Once the passphrase has been entered click Finish.

    10. Click the “Apply” button on the bottom of the page.

    0.01Mbps download, full upload speed, can't connect to Live.

    I was running an Asus BlueCave and it seems it doesn't play well with the Xbox 360 S. I setup an old Netgear WGR614 v9 and using WPA wireless, not the more advanced WPA2 security and now that seems to be working. I guess old consoles need old routers.

    Xbox slim wireless to ASUS RT-N66U works very poor.

    My Xbox One won't connect to the 5GHz band of my Asus N66U wireless router.

    I accidentally secure erased my hdd thought my system uses a ssd, I can't recover so what drivers etc would I need to get my system back?

    I really wish I had another answer, but unfortunately, once you've used the Secure Erase option, the data is permanently erased and therefore unrecoverable.

    See more details at the link below in the topic "How to erase SSD with ASUS Secure Erase". In step 6, the following information is available: Confirm that all the data will be deleted and will not be recoverable, click OK to continue the process. Then machine will automatically reboot after completion.
