Asus VG248QE resolution help

I am using a Asus VG248QE and for some reason it is only coming through as 640x480 resolution and I have looked everywhere for a answer to this problem and I have come up with nothing. I hope someone else out there can help me because this is annoying and
i don't know how much support the phone service would be.

Console games quality on a PC monitor not good...?

Hello everyone.

So i have these two PC monitors wich i game my Xbox One on: Asus VG248QE and Asus VX248H wich are both 1080p native.

So, what happens here is the following: On the games that are 1080p native they don't lose quality, games that are 900p or for whatever other reason, they look terrible, they don't upscale like playing on a TV, because if i play on my Samsung SmarTV 40"
all the games look perfect, there's no resolution differences or image quality ...

Is there a way to make the console output the games quality to the monitor as the same as she does for a TV or any other way around this?

Do you guys know how much the input lag is on your TV? Now knowing this , do you feel that all that time when you thought you were behind wall and still got shot was the games fault or was it just TV ( + internet ping)

Hey TrueAnonymity, what size is this monitor? It seems that if it is less than 32 Inches, chances are that it isn't going to get any better resolution

22inch full 1080p support there is a reason I put the name of it hopefully this will help you.

 

I did read the article, but it still baffles me. A monitor that is 32 Inches or lower...well there is no way to see the difference. I would suggest getting ahold of their support and see if they can help you.

 

Let me ask the stupidest questions, are you using a HDMI cable? Have you checked the resolution settings on the Xbox to see if it's outputting it as 1080p?

 

@rockyramer Yes I am using a HDMI cable and when it outputs to 1080p the display goes black and then after 30 seconds it comes back to the terrible resolution it was set at before.

 

1. Are you using the "auto" setting at TV connection? If so please set it to Hdmi instead, as your monitor may give back false information of its resolution.

2. If it crashes at 1080p what happens if using 720p?

 

1. Its set to HDMI

2. No signal

 

Are you having the chance to test your Xbox on a TV or another monitor of its working there?

 

I have tested it on different devices and it has displayed fine on a different tv but on the monitors i have in my room it does not display correctly.

 

Hmm, if it displays correctly on a TV it is at least not a hardware fault on the One.

Have you checked with a different Hdmi cable already? Habe you checked on different color resolutions and different frequencies (50/60Hz)?
