We understand this is frustrating but thank you for your efforts. After looking into this further, it would seem that the hardware is lacking the requirements to retrieve the update for 1809. It is like the computer cannot handle the newest update so it
will not push it through.

What I would recommend is either joining the
Xbox Insider Program for Windows PC or you can get the update manually through the
Update Assistant. That is if version 1809 isn't offered automatically through
Check for updates.



Please check out the following for more information:
Get the Windows 10 October 2018 Update and
Download Windows 10. Otherwise, it could be an issue with the hardware/motherboard as I have mentioned before.
