    Astroneer online coop cot working on PC game pass


    Hello

    I am trying to play with a friend, we both have the game on game pass for pc and trying to connect but keep getting the message "" failed to connect to Host ""

    I tried and researched a lot and found out that the game needs port forwarding UDP to work with other PCs.

    Now the problem is I have a Vodafone station, my router doesn't have the option to do port forwarding, from what I understood this is because I don't have my own public ipv4 address, only a Ipv6 one that don't support port forwarding.

    is there a way around all this trouble or a way to fix it ?

    can I maybe host my own network on something like Hamachi and get the game to work on it so my friends could connect to my world ?

    its a very frustrating problem and I saw a lot of people having the problem and don't get why it hasn't been resolved by now.

    No worries, on that. Could you confirm that you've contacted the developer support for Astroneer as well and if you have if they have confirmed that the source of the issue is from our end or not just in case. And I presume that this is an issue only occuring with this game specifically, any other games you have downloaded run and work fine?

    Because its the launch date, game pass services for pc will be a little slow because of the flood of traffic.

    The only was you can cross play Astroneer with a Xbox user while on PC is if the game was bought via the Microsoft/Xbox store or you have PC game pass. But double check before making the purchase to see if crossplay is compatible that way.

    I would say Realm Royale it's not a local co-op but its fun to play. Astroneer has co-op online it's in Game Pass. There's Riverbond it has local live co-op.
