    Astroneer does not launch on Windows 11


    Hello!

    I just purchased Astroneer from the Microsoft Store. After downloading and installing,

    I tried to start the game, but all I see is the outline of a window flashing briefly and then

    the game is gone again.

    I have already tried to check and repair the game via the Windows settings, but was

    unsuccessful. The start of the game generates an entry in the Windows Event Viewer.

    im trying to play astroneer on xbox with my friend but It gives cant connect to host error in windows 10 you fix it by using the xbox networking tab but there isnt a article that helps about in windows 11

    Thanks for responding for what I know, it only happens in Astroneer and it's the first time I played this on windows 11, add that I don't have the network option in XBOX PC settings

    There was a similar thread about Astroneer some time ago here: Astroneer won't launch on Xbox App on PC (Game pass) - Microsoft Community

    I would also try if you haven't making sure to let the developers know that you are having this issue. And just to make sure we have all relevant details:

    • Could you let me know what operating system you are using?
    • Could you let me know If you've only downloaded from the Microsoft store app, or if you've tried downloading and installing through the Xbox app or launching from the Desktop as well?
    • It would also be good to go ahead and start a support ticket with the developers just in case they may have a fix for this on their end. Astroneer | A Game of Aerospace Industry and Interplanetary Exploration
    Just in case I am also downloading Astroneer from the Xbox Store app then the Microsoft Store app to see if I can reproduce the issue. Which as I am typing now it worked fine after downloading from the Xbox app on Windows 11, will be trying from the Microsoft store app here soon and the Xbox app on Windows 10.

    Well for your problem I recommend that you try the solution below, please.

    Before anything close the Xbox application through the task manager, after that go to windows settings>applications>applications and resources>find the Astroneer game>click with the left mouse button on it, tap the repair option.

    *Please let us know if this works.
