    Astroneer - Black Loading Screen Lockup - XBox Live Version


    This only applies to the Xbox Live version of Astoneer. Upon an exit and reload, the Astroneer splash screen will display, then sometimes the logos, then the screen will turn black, and sit there doing nothing. I have isolated this error to the XBox Live
    Game Save service. If the upload of your save file is interrupted for some reason, the synchronizer can become stuck in a loop, or freeze at some point in its procedures, preventing the game from authorizing. It does not matter if you have local saves or not,
    the authorizer will not verify Astroneer's credentials if the game save service is hung. It doesn't matter if the Xbox Live GUI is functioning, or if any other game loads, there game's DRM procedure and the Xbox Live Game Save both lack a timeout. Rebooting,
    or manually killing the service; then restating Xbox Live, will fix this issue.

    How to fix this issue: Microsoft and the game's developer must code for non-ideal conditions. Poor connectivity and interrupted data streams are a common occurrence in rural areas.

    Why does astroneer take loads of time to load?

    Astroner took awhile for me to load the first time I played it. The game would go to a black screen and sit. Reinstalling fixed the problem. I remember the game was slow loading but twenty minutes is too long. Subnautica is the longest loading game
    I have ever played and it takes about three minutes to load. Have you hard resetted your console to see if that will help as well?

    Me too, a lot of loading screen lockups. Happens on PC also. Save before traveling. Ive noticed sometimes the autosave does this afterwards , and it gets the the way of accomplishments as well. Could this be an autosave bug?
