Astro A50 hadset

I bought this headset and followed all the steps to get it set up. I have it paired and firmware up to date. I was trying to get it connected for chat with call of duty or battlefield. I can hear the gameplay through the headset but the chat feature is not
working. I tried getting in a party chat with friends and still could not talk to them. I had a different headset previously and under the devices tab, my old headset would show up on the page where you can assign the controller or buzz the controller. This
headset is not showing up. Is that normal? Also, in the party chat, the circle around my name is blue and not green like my friends. Is that normal with this headset or should it be green? The only thing I can think is that either the cord from the headset
to the controller is bad or my controller is bad. Any help or suggestions?
