    Astro a50 gen 4/atmos


    Anybody using the 4th gen astros managed to get them working with atmos??in the dolby is the following:-

    1,how are your headphones connected?

    wireless or optical?as im wireless to base then optical to console.

    2.next issue is no matter which choice i make,when i prompts to change audio over to dolby atmos,when i do so it infuriatingly says i need to download atmos for headphones,which is already installed..

    any solutions greatly appreciated.....

    In order to use Dolby Atmos you have to download the software so yes I have it. You get a one year license to use it with the headphones; you did transact the free key that came with the headphones in the box?

    Yeah man,only now its two years free,no offence m8 but im no spring chicken,so stating the obvious,is a waste of both yours and my time.....i was looking for a user that hit the same problem as me,and if they had overcome it..

    go to the general volume and audio output settings.

    make sure all audio output is set to headset. under headset audio Dolby Atmos and using HDMI or optical audio are both checked.

    I have hte same headset you do and they are up to date on firmware; firmware can only be updated on PC. Connected the same way yours are; optical connection to console, USB plugged into console.

    as someone that is a volunteer trying to help you out I really appreciate the feedback that this has been a waste of both of our times.

    The Xbox One Base Station and both versions of the A50 Wireless Headset will deliver Atmos and
    Sonic through PC and Xbox One. As with the MixAmp Pro TR, you will need to disable Dolby on your A50 Wireless
    + Base Station, as you only want the audio processing done by either Atmos or Sonic.
