Astro a40 chat not workinf

hello i have Astro a40s for Xbox one bought them locally of my friend they don’t have mix amp just piece that connects in controller and they were always working fine then today the chat stopped working for no reason and nobody can hear me but i hear them
.. i used my other headset and the chat worked.. my astros are not on mute and wires are all connected nicely anybody know a fix to this? I can’t seem to find any

I hear an echo in audio chat

Tested. Issue persists.

Note that I get latency--however marginal--for game chat.

I'm going to test Astro A40 TRs tonight.

 

Have you tried disconnecting then reconnecting the mic? It just pulls out. If that doesn't work, try swapping the side that the mic is on. The plastic covers on the earcups pull off and can be swapped over and there's a mic socket on each earcup.

Also, disconnect and reconnect the main cable that runs from the headset to the controller, and also double-check your audio settings on the console itself.

Another thing to check is to start a party by yourself, then talk and see if the ring around your name lights up as you're speaking. If it does, the mic is being detected and it may be some kind of party issue with Live that you're
having.

If none of that works and the ring around your name doesn't light up as you talk in a party, the next thing to try would be replacing the cable that runs from the headset to the controller, and if that doesn't work, replacing the
mic itself.
