Associated email problem.

Hey guys and girls. The email adress I used to create my account was an aol.co.uk adress, I'm trying to update the email to my new hotmail account. It asks me to sign in to my previous account before I can update but when I enter my aol password it says
its invalid. I've signed in via aol.co.uk so I know the password is correct but my xbox doesn't seem to like it. it is asking me to log in to my live account so have they made xbox live/hotmail exclusive? If so can anbody help me update my details? Thanks.

I had the saem problems as Fossal, after finally speaking to someone, they said I had to make another email address which had to be active for 30 days, then transfer the unsued GT off the email address I use every day so it had no GT associated to it, and then to move my gamertag that I use to my email address I use.

Problem was, wasw tht the email address my GT was associated to had bee nhacked and was a pain to access as they kept blocking it. So I gave up in the end!

 

xbox live gold not working

Your best bet is to do as Gift3d suggested and call Xbox support. It is possible that your payment didn't clear. You might also want to check your email account that you have associated with your Live account. Most times if there is a problem, Microsoft will email you about it.

What happens when you try to login with the aol.co.uk details on xbox.com. Does it log in to your current xbox live account or not?

If it does, is there any chance you set up Two step verification on the Microsoft (Xbox Live) Account?

If so then you will need to use an App password on the xbox 360 instead of the password. See this link for the how too:
