Assistance with Ambassador program

I went to the Community Ambassador site and clicked "Apply" mainly because support jobs, and helping others online is generally something I enjoy. That aside, my question is how do you know if you were accepted into the program after clicking "Apply." Do
I get an email, or is it automatic? Hoping some of the current ambassadors out there could help me out here.

You should get an email when you've been accepted.

Just like Maxen13 said, you will get an email when you've been accepted into the program. It can usually take up to 3 days to hear back. Welcome to the community (almost)!

Do you mean the Ambassador sweepstakes? If so, you'll need to post in the Ambassador forums for assistance. Since that is not a Rewards program offer, Rewards support will not be able to assist.

Be sure to sign up for the ambassador program if you have not already. You will be able to use the ambassador chat to talk to and help those who need it. The ambassador program is the best way to assist people on Xbox live.

Other than that, just lok around the forums and answer some people questions.
