Assigning controller to Xbox ONLY. Weird issue with PC stream.

So, I play a lot of game while in discord with friends, we like to stream out games to each other via Discord. The Xbox app allows the stream from Xbox to PC and then captured to Discord easy. My issue is, I have ran into ALOT of issues with my controller since doing this.

When I have the Xbox app streaming my game, sometimes my controller will just stop working in games. I can still hit the Xbox button, exit the game, move around at the dashboard, but in game stops working. I have noticed if I plug the controller into my PC, it will start working again, but taking input from my PC and not the Xbox.

I get this may be a niche issue, but is there a way to stop the Xbox app on PC from trying to control the game? The input delay at times is too much to play comfortably, I just simply want my game audio and video on my PC for discord streams.

AK, may I know if you double check if your controller has the latest firmware via Accessories app on your console?

Or the opposite, if the controller is up to date, try downgrading it to a previous firmware version following tutorial in the link below:

If you connect the controller wirelessly. Did you try disabling bluetooth on your PC from settings?

Another option could be try using your controller via cable with your console and see if the issue persists

Hey Josef, I tried both of these, neither did anything.

I am currently plugged into my console with the cable that came with my elite series 2 controller. Bluetooth is disabled from my PC.

It happens at weird times, for instance in MLB The Show, I can get all the way to pregame where I pick my pitcher then it stops working. But works all the way till then.

First of all, You need only one controller! The controller is assigned only to one system - if you connect him with your PC and later you would use him on your XBOX, you have to assigne him to the XBOX again and vice versa.

And second, here the APP "Xbox One Wireless Display" works only like a feed/stream of the computer display on the XBOX. It is not a full remote controll of your Computer! But you can also put a Mouse and Keyboard on your XBOX ONE, and some apps and games
support this.

And last but not least, the XBOX-App is like a full remote app,you can start and controll your apps & games via PC! Therefor you have to connect your controller at you computer.

As far as my understanding goes, 360 controllers are not compatible with Xbox ones of any generation.

If it connects through stream xbox, you can assign your main controller to your XBL account so that it only uses that one controller when more then one are connected.
