Still haven't completed Brotherhood. I got so bored with the amount of pointless repetitive filler content there was and how little change there was from AC2.

After playing the Arkham games last year, I also realised how inferior the combat is in AC.

 

It will have to be special to beat the epic feel of Black Flag which I think may have peaked the series, AC3 was not very good and the open world of BF and less Assassin and more Pirate formula was great. Another city based roof clamberer would need something
equally special which I doubt they can pull off. Two games is ringing warning bells as well. Core game mechanics are in need of a major overhaul as well.

 

Lost interest with the series a long time back , heard good things about Black Flag but just don't wanna commit to summat I might end up hating.

 

I only played about 3 hours of AC4 and stopped. I'm getting really burned out with AC games.

 

I probably would have completely overlooked "Black Flag" had it not been for the lofty praise it was receiving on these very boards.

But 2 games this year?

That's what killed the franchise for me before.

 

It's a game on last gen and a different one on the new machines though isn't it?

Fine by me, it'll nice to see what they can do when not being held back by old hardware.

 

Black flag was ok but every mission started with you following somebody trying to listen in, got tedious.

 

That was my problem with Black Flag as well.It was a great improvement on the previous games but "follow such & such" nearly every mission got on my nerves.

 

AC4 is probably my favourite in the series so far. Like Mr Badger said though, the follow missions got a bit tedious.

Got to say though, I am ready for some more AC
