Microtransactions. Along with the stupid need to connect to uplay for parts of the single player campaign, Ubisoft is really starting to grind my gears.

I don't care in the slightest.

This is atop my most anticipated games atm. I can not wait for 4 person co-op assassins creed. I have never seen an interesting or necessary micro transaction so there is no reason to get your panties in a bunch about it. It's a way for developers to
make some extra scratch and for gamers to spend more on their hobby.

 

Does Ubisoft really need the extra cash though? 13 AC games in 7 years, their pockets aint hurting in the slightest.

 

Not to mention they are already talking about porting Rogue to next gen consoles.

 

Did I hear right that unity only has certain missions that are coop or did I hear wrong?

 

I'm actually looking forward to Rogue more than Unity. I'll pick Unity up in the new year.

 

The purpose of every business since the dawn of currency and the end of the barter of system, is to make the most money possible. If Ubisoft wants to make some extra cash which will contribute to more funding for more awesome games, I'm all for it. As long
as it's not pay to win, I have no problem with microtransactions.

 

Title is misleading, the interview States that if it doesn't fit that they won't have it, but if it's like Mass Effect 3, Ryse, PvZ, then I don't care, it's not game breaking.

 

Micro transactions do not bother me. But the unrelenting pace at which they are pushing the games out is what is killing me. I love AC, but give me a break. Also, 24hrs, are you serious about porting Rogue?

 

If it was a bad game series I'd agree that they were over doing it, but I have enjoyed every assassin's creed I've played. Now there are certain game's out there that just recycle the same rubbish every year but people keep lapping it up.

 

Aren't there similar micro transactions in AC4?
