Assassin's Creed: Unity game load problems

The other day I was playing some Assassin's Creed: Unity. For some reason, the game crashed and stalled, everything about the game was unreactive, this lasted about a minute, so I decided to click the "Xbox" button to see if I could navigate back to the
home system or if the entire Xbox environment had crashed. Fortunatly, this wasn't the case. So I clicked Assassin's Creed: Unity image and "Exit"ed the game as I would do normally if I wanted to exit that or any other game. I restarted XBox just in case and
re-entered Assassin's Creed: Unity, pressed continue (as usual to load the game and continue my progress) and my character was standing right where the game crashed. I played another hour and a half and logged out. Everything was normal. Until I came back
to play a little more by the end of the day. Everything I had done (about 1h30m worth of game play) had vanished and I was back at the point where the game crashed. I was a little disappointed so I only played about 15m, since I had already done those missions
I didn't feel like going on, at least for that day. The following day I came back. And there I was again, at the same exact place when the game crashed. I tryed "redoing" an old memory/sequence, the problem persisted. I cleared XBox cache, I deleted local/cloud
saves in "System">"Store" / "Manage this Game" menus, stopped cloud synching to restart the game from scratch (I had already played about 4 days of it) and even reinstalled the game.

It really doesn't matter what I do, even after deleting the "cloud files" through the appropriate menus and reinstalling the game, whenever I log back in I go back to the exact same freaking place, where the game crashed all these
days ago. If I delete the save files and stop "synching" when I launch the game, I have to restart the game everytime and when I log off, I go to my previous playthrough to the point where the game crashed.

I've tryed to look for away to access the cloud saves, to see if I could delete this particular instance and maybe recover the one I had where I had a few more hours of "actual" game play done, or even one slightly before the problem. But it appears there is
no way to do that.

What Am I supposed to do? I bought the game a year ago and I only got the courage to play it now. I was enjoying it, to my surprise, since I disliked all other AC's appart from the 1st and 2nd installments, only to get screwed over by some bad ubisoft/microsoft
implementation, that has no mechanisms to load alternate, uncorrupted files.
