@Genchy: Haha yeah! There were a couple times I thought Arno was mental. Getting some of those chests was his weakness since they were well hidden.

No MP? Sadface. I'll still play it regardless cause like I said, the missus can't resist. I wonder if co-op will be making a return. I liked it despite the repetitive nature and the heists were just silly lol.

 

I already commented on the general game discussion thread, but the gist is, I'm sick of these time periods and I'm sick of the main characters being anybody with assassin's heritage or however they dream it up. Long live the true assassin's Altair and Ezio.

Hearing that it has no multiplayer is a step in the right direction for someone like me though, the multiplayer modes just never held the fun. At first I would really enjoy them, but by rank 20 I was pretty done.

 

Hello everyone

The last Hitman game that I played was Hitman: Blood Money and the guards in that game were anything but stupid.

With that being said, is Assassins Creed: Liberation (Xbox 360 Arcade) a good game?

I've never played any of the Assassins Creed games before and the protagonist in this game is a woman who doesn't resort to the slutty sex objectification typically found in games with female leads

Also, are the Guards in Assassins Creed: Liberation smart or dumb?

I won't be picking this one up. Really tired of the same old routine now. Really need something new and fresh.

 

It's definitely good to hear there's no MP. It never really belonged in this series in the first place. I never even touched it in any of the previous games that had it.

 

I'm happy with the era (being a brit!), but like others have said, there's just nothing new here..

Will wait and see how it fares at launch

 

I agree with Bowski - I never liked the multiplayer either. In any case, I haven't been all there when it comes to this series. I rented the 1st 1 and didn't like it. I rented the 2nd 1, and it was better, but never made it very far (got it for free later
too, and still haven't made it very far). I never played the 3rd one, which is unfortunate, because it looks good. I own the 4th thanks to my brother, and I really like it due to the pirate stuff (sans multiplayer, of course) and I've made it further in it
than any of the others (about half-way through I think). I really should go back and finish some of these - I'm just not looking forward to having to re-learn the controls... *sigh*

As for this new 1, I admittedly haven't seen much of it (I've barely even seen the trailer for it), but I do know where it takes place and I do like that it's during the industrial age. Despite this, though, it doesn't seem as inspiring as say, Patriots
or Black Flag...

@Lei: AC Liberation was an ok game. Since you've never played an AC game, last month's offering on ACIV was your best bet as that's one of the best in the series imo. If I were you, I would start out with AC2 and go from there. The AI in Liberation were..
ok. Like any other AC game. I liked Liberation, but it wasn't as good as the other games. I've played them all and I'm gonna have to rank it as my least favorite.

Please understand that it isn't my intention to be mean / rude to you, but the only reason that I was interested in Assassins Creed: Libration of the female protagonist. Seeing a woman's prespective on this series is a refreshing change of pace LOL


Also, If I were to estimate (give or take), about 90% of video game protagonist are male (no offense guys).

Hey Lei, I actually do suggest jumping straight into liberation because it would be a good introduction to the series as it pretty much plays exactly like all the other AC games except it's just smaller. There is one difference that you have 'personas' that
you switch between like 'the lady' 'the assassin' 'the worker' etc. which help you complete some missions.

I've played most of the AC games as well and I really enjoyed it and thought it was on par with the rest apart from the visuals, but they're still not bad. The main character can also get this voodoo assassin outfit which is pretty awesome. I definitely
enjoyed it more than ACIII.

This stuff happends (getting burnt out on a series) and I can relate to you because I this happend to me with the Halo series (I will not be buying any Halo games on the Xbox One).

Rogue was brilliant imo. Black Flag is my favourite AC, loved the whole pirate theme and naval battles, Rogue was more of the same really, obviously not focused on piratering but close.
