Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. You will keep all your saved data for the game after using a different copy of it. There are some games that include the downloadable content with the disc that may not transfer over with a digital purchase. An example
of this is Assassin's Creed Odyssey. If you own the physical copy of Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Ultimate Edition and switch to the standard edition of the digital copy, you will lose access to all of the Ultimate Edition's content. If you purchased the downloadable
content on your account or redeemed codes for the dlc, you will keep the downloadable content when you switch to the digital version of the game. We hope this helps!

The standard edition will show as 'installed' regardless of which version you purchase. The difference is what DLC will become available as it is released. The Ultimate Edition will give you access to pretty much everything. Simply enjoy the game, I have
about 8 hours logged in and I wouldn't be surprised if it were a finalist for GOTY. Happy Gaming!

If you only stream your games, then you should get Game Pass Ultimate, that way you can continue playing Assassins Creed Odyssey.
