Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has taken too long to start

I just purchased a physical copy of AC Odyssey and have completed the installation however the game will not load past the splash screen and says that it has taken too long to start (0x8027025a).

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game but this has not fixed the issue and I have lost count of how many times I’ve tried to restart the game and hard reset my console. I’ve followed the various troubleshooting pages but to no avail. This isn’t affecting
any of my other games.

I see other users have has installation issues but unsure if this is related?

Is any one else unable to start the game and is this a known issue?

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. There are some known issues with the game Assassins creed Odyssey. Ubisoft is aware of these and working on them. You could try installing the game offline see if it goes any better.

Assassins Creed Odyssey is long and good

Assassins Creed, but the earlier ones, I didn't mind the change with Origins but Odyssey was too far from Assassins Creed for me. Many people hate the repetitiveness but I didn't mind it, as long as the characters and plot were unique and interesting.
