Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag In-game installation stops?

Hi, I purchased a digital copy of
Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag yesterday for my Xbox One.

It installs normal, and it was ready to play around 10 %.

When I played the game, there was loading screen and at the bottom right corner there was this:

"Install in progress, __ % completed." Eventually the installation reached 100 % and I started the game and everything was good.

However, when I finished the mission where Eduard gets caught in the plantation by the Templars, a loading screen came up and yet there were the words again but this time it was stuck on 68 %

"Install in progress, 68 % completed." and it has not moved no matter what I do.

I have tried disconnecting xbox live, and I have also tried turning my console on and off.

Can someone help me?

Just brought the Assassin's Creed Anthology, so definitely buying Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag

Boas BS5, I Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag was a disappointment in my opinion.

My problem with Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag was that it was a wasted opportunity. Instead of taking a risk to create a new (Pirate) IP. They cash grabbed a solid pirate game and used the Assassin's Creed name.

Imagine having the Black Flag mechanics, with Dragon Age/Mass Effect style party/crew recruiting for your ship. Being able to board and take any ship and make it yours with total ship customization. That is only the surface of my ideas for what Black Flag
could have been.

And that is why I personally frown upon Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag. It was a fun, solid game. But a garbage Assassin's Creed

 

I would suggest uninstalling the game, disconnecting from the network, reinstall the game, connect to the network, download the update.

You wont lose any saved data by doing this too. Give that a shot, and let me know what happens

 

I tried what you recommended, Spyro but it got stuck at 24 %

 

errrm...this is why I am not a fan of digital versions >.<

Anyhow, next steps would be to uninstall all content from manage all content, and check the saved files to see if there is any corrupted data on there.

 

I deleted my saved data. When I started a new game, there is no update unlike before. I guess this is good? Do you think it may show up again later?

If not, what I suggest you do is to uninstall and then re-install but let it fully install before running the game. I know it says
"Ready to Start" but it's always safer to let a game fully install to 100%, it seems cause less issues if you do this.

As for the save, when you run the game after installation you should get the
"Syncing Data" message and your save file should recovered.

I got really far into the game and now it is doing the same thing as earlier, but now it is stuck on 0 %. (This is what happened just now. I am trying your idea.)
