Assassin's Creed 2 save glitch with XBOX One

Facing the same problem, I have tried several actions based on the Xbox 360 Workaround.

The combination that finally did the trick for me on my Xbox One:

• remove all Assassin's Creed II game data on Xbox One (saved data (reserved space), installed game, add-ons)
  
• re-install the game (game, update and add-ons)
  
• remove on Xbox One Assassin's Creed II saved data (reserved space)
  
• start the game, in the title screen open the Xbox 360 Guide
  `(press view and start buttons) / go to "Manage Storage" / "Saved Games" / Delete: Assassin's Creed II saved game`
  exiting the menu will restart the game
  
• start a new Story session
  make sure to remove all non word characters of the session name (in my case: removed spaces)
  
• Game saves behave normal again
  

Hope this might fix it for you as well.
Possibly removing and re-installing the game is not required, but I haven't validated that scenario.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. I'm sorry you're having this problem.

This bug has happened for a long time with this game, it is a glitch where the save is corrupted, so far Ubisoft has not fixed the problem with this version of the game. In the thread below, you can see that one of our members says he found the solution, but he is on Xbox 360.

Possible solution:

1- I deleted ALL data of the game from my Xbox

2- I lived out from them all the profiles (which I actually think did nothing lol)

3- I logged back into my profile and downloaded the game again

4- once it was downloaded I didn't go inside the game and instead cleared the cache first. This is done in the following way:

4.1. Starting at the Xbox 360 dashboard, press the Xbox guide button.

4.2. Scroll to the far-right and choose "System Settings".

4.3. Choose "Storage".

4.4. Highlight your hard drive and press "Y" for Device Options.

4.5. Select "Clear System Cache".

5- I got into the game and played - IDK if this helps but before going out of the game (in the part that always deletes itself) I let the character die because I was told the memory resets and it helps save it

*The only version of the game that doesn't have this problem would be the Bundle, called The Ezio Collection, which are remastered versions for Xbox One.

I have the same problem I have tried everything that you have suggested but nothing worked. It kind of sucks because I just bought the 360 version a few days ago.

I've always had to start anew.
