Assassins creed 2 can't re-download!!!

I am trying to re-download Assassins creed 2. I downloaded it with the games with gold feature. I have tried all system support ideas like clear system cache and etc. It says I have to pay 19.99 for it when I have previously downloaded.

Problem Downloading Assassins Creed 2 (Free With Gold)

I Have Recently Tried To Download Assassins Creed 2 , but every time i try and download it it gives me the error message saying "Can't Download Assassins Creed 2"

I Have 8GB free and the game is only 5GB. However those 8Gb are on my flashdrive which i use on my xbox. is there anything i could do to fix this problem

Sorry to hear it. There are 3 things you can try.

1. Start the download from this link: marketplace.xbox.com/.../66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025553083b

2. You should be able to start the download from your download history if it was purchased from the account you are posting with. On the console head to Settings>Accounts>Download History.

3. Access your download history from the website: live.xbox.com/.../history

 

Man I have tired this countless times it doesn't work says I have to pay $19.99 for it. I know for fact I download this before when it was free with the games with gold... Thank for trying to help though..

Are you on the console that it was purchased on? If not you may have to transfer your rights to this console.

To Move your digital license to current console:

1. Go to SETTINGS and select ACCOUNT

2. Go to your Billing Options and select LICENSE TRANSFER

3. Follow the instructions to transfer the content licences

4. After you transfer the licences, download the content again to update the local licences

If this is not the case then there may be a slight glitch in the system so if you reset it, that should help.

I've had success with the following steps:

1. Remove profile - SETTINGS page (far right from home page), select STORAGE, then find your profile and remove.

2. While in your hard drive under GAMES & APPS look for any red or yellow icons with incomplete or unknown. Delete them. (This may include the game you are trying to fix)

3.Clear System Cache - SETTINGS page, select STORAGE and highlight a drive but don't select it. Press Y and select Clear System Cache. Agree when asked.

4. Be Patient - turn your console off for a full minute. This assists in resetting the console.

5. Turn on the console and download your profile - it is the icon next to 'create a profile'.

Try again. If it is still an issue repeat the steps but at Step 2 delete the troublesome game and complete the steps with the following.

6. Go to SETTINGS page & select ACCOUNT

7. Got to DOWNLOAD HISTORY and find the game/DLC you wanted. The most recent are first.

8. Select the item and then select DOWNLOAD AGAIN. This should fix the issue.

If he had gotten the game with the account that he is posting with it shouldn't matter which console he's on.
